  • If your university partners with YEA, access is free for you—your school covers the cost as part of their international student support services. If you're signing up individually (before your university partners with us), early access is free during our pilot phase.

  • Yes. We never sell your data. Your information is only shared with your university's international office (the people who are supposed to support you) and your parents. However, you are always in control of what you are comfortable sharing.

  • You can join our app now, but some features will only be accessible if your university joins. If you want to have access to more features, you can also forward our university one-pager to your international office to request that they partner with us.

  • No—YEA works with your international office, not instead of it. We handle routine logistics questions (SIM cards, grocery stores, bus routes) so your international office staff can focus on the complex stuff that requires human expertise (visa emergencies, academic advising, mental health support).

  • Yes! YEA is mobile-first. The app works on iPhone, Android, and web browsers.

  • The AI chat assistant handles 80% of common logistics questions. If it can't help, it will direct you to the right resource (your international office, campus health services, etc.).

  • No— our arrival kits (bedding, kitchen basics, bathroom essentials) are completely optional. They're available if you want the convenience of having everything delivered before you arrive, but you can skip them and buy your own stuff locally.
